A beautifully handmade antique rag doll of an Edwardian Lady, made from a fine cotton with a delicately embroidered face. She has braided wool hair and is wearing a straw hat decorated with blue and white flowers, a hand knitted blue jacket with green glass buttons and a spray of flowers, a tartan skirt with a black belt with silver coloured buckle. Underneath is a cream cotton underskirt with handmade lace and finished with French seams and below that cream coloured knickerbockers edged with Broderie Anglais. She is in undamaged condition, just some age related discolouration. From the way she is made and the materials used I think she could be period to her costume c1910s but it is difficult to be sure.
