Set of Six 19th Century Plates with the Stewart Family Crest and Motto
A high quality set of six antique dinner plates with the Stewart family crest and motto - Salus Per Christum Redemptoreum - which translates to - Salvation Through Christ the Redeemer. The plates were retailed through Soane and Smith, 200 Oxford Street, London who sold quality porcelain and china by porcelain manufacturers such as Minton and Coalport. The plates have no makers mark but the beautiful turquoise rim and gilding are very Minton.
The plates are in excellent condition; just some minor wear to the gilding, one plate has a small chip under the rim and another has a small chip on the base (please see photos).
These plates are heavy so International postage is expensive but I always refund postage if it works out cheaper once packaged.
