A very nice example of a 19th Century Daguerreotype picture of an unknown man. The picture is contained in a tooled leather case with a red velvet interior and is framed in a decorative gilded metal. The leather case has a decorative tooled finish to the front and has a small clasp to keep it closed at the side. The piece is in excellent condition with just some damage to the leather at the back (see last photo). 9.5cms x 8.5cms
